Circumcision Decreases Hiv

February 23, 2007 / by alvarezgalloso

According to the latest news from IRIB, there have been studies linking circumcision with the reduction of HIV.

Earlier studies in Kenya and Uganda proved such links and they were confirmed by the National Institute of Health in the USA and published by the medical magazine Lancet. Dr. Kenneth Cock of the AIDS Department of the World Health Organization praised this scientific breakthrough.

The studies have been based on the premise that the cells that exist in the foreskin of the penis are vulnerable to the AIDS Virus.

It should be remembered that Circumcision is practiced amongst the Judaic and Islamic Faith and there are some areas in the world where circumcision is the law.
