Ioc President Has Faith in South Africa

May 26, 2007 / by alvarezgalloso

The President of the International Olympic Committee Jacques Rogge has expressed faith in the ability of South Africa to host of the 2010 World Cup.

The IOC President expressed his comments about the World Cup during a Press Conference in Johannesburg South Africa during a visit to the 2010 World Cup Headquarters. These comments refuted earlier comments by FIFA President Blatter doubting the ability of South Africa to host the 2010 World Cup because of “lack of preparations and problems in neighboring Zimbabwe”.

The South African Government has also rejected Blatter’s Comments about South Africa’s ability to host the World Cup.

This will be a battle that will continue to play itself in the period leading to 2010.
