Violence in Video Games, and in all Media has contributed to the violence that permeates US Society today. It appears that terrorism is an offspring of what has been created in Hollywood and Video Games.
It must be said that while executive state that their programmes reflect real life, that people are watching the so called real life drama imitate this. I often wander if the terrorists who committed the acts of violence on the 11th of September 2001 were inspired by video games and Hollywood Films.
There was a film and a videogame that had to be confiscated after the 11th of September 2001 since it showed the burning of the Twin Towers. This film was done before September 2001.
I have to conclude that Violence must be stopped in television as it promotes more violence.

And to blame the media and video games is more humorous. Yes, violence is more rampant on tv nowadays. Why? Because people lust for it. Why else would millions of people watch 24?
Video games? Don't get me started. Video games are the least harmful instruments created by man in the recent decades. If anything, video games help purge violent tendencies by allowing you to fulfill them in an imaginary but interactive fashion. I feel a lot better on a bad day when I come home and shoot people up on XBOX 360. To some it may be excessive, both those are the ones who never really tried the video games of today.
If you want to blame someone, blame yourself for any violent movie you saw and liked. Blame your family, friends, neighbors and everyone else who's done the same. A massive problem that affects many starts off by being created by one.
